Song of the Day:
Hit the Lights by Jay Sean
I listened to it once at like eleven this morning...and the freaking chorus has been stuck in my head ever since. Not saying that I don't like it, but sometimes it's just nice not to have anything stuck in your head. Today was just one of those days.
Quote of the Day:
"I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're going and hook up with them later." -Mitch Hedberg
That sounds like a great plan!
Most Interesting Person of the Day:
Your mom.
Yeah, I'm having no motivation to figure out what to right tonight. So, I'll just insert the clever come back her I guess.
I woke up not wanting to get up. Doesn't it seem like it's like that every day? Well, I ended up dragging myself out of bed, had a headache for my first two classes, and then the rest of the day went fabulously. But like I said in the former, I have zero motivation. All I want to do is go to sleep, but I'm still stuck here for another 5 hours...Lucky me!
Pulling An All Nighter
This shall be the account of my eventful times as working on campus as a lab attendant, where I try to find things to fill my time through the wee hours of my night shifts. Over the next couple of months, I have a feeling it's going to be a crazy ride!

As Enrique would say, oh yes I like it!
Song of the Day:
Silly Love Songs by Glee Cast
I love the show Glee, and they did a really good remake of this song! It's addicting! I figured I'd listen to it since it was Valentine's day and all...but it's still a great song. Great harmonies, for sure.
Quote of the Day:
"Sometimes the hardest thing and the right thing are the same." -The Fray from their song 'All At Once'
I came across this quote in a photo actually. I don't listen much to The Fray, I think their music is okay, but I liked this saying. I wish sometimes we'd know if this were true, it would make decisions so much easier to make.
Most Interesting Person of the Day:
My Monday night lab partner.
You're a nice guy, don't get me wrong, you're nice. But every time I look over to just see what you're doing, you're on some weird site on the internet, or laughing randomly. Like just now! You were on a dance studio site...really? dancing? Dude, I bet you my first born you can't dance worth shit! I think that just made me laugh out loud randomly too...oh no! You're rubbing off on me! God help me before I go insane, and I end up looking at dance studio links...
So, it's Monday. Valentine's Day. Well, it's actually Tuesday, but we can pretend it's Monday still. My birthday was last Friday. I'm 19 now! Whoo! The whole weekend I pretty much worked and did homework. But this upcoming weekend I'll get to go down to OSU to party with my friends. So, this will techniquely be my birthday weekend. I have an interview with the movie theater in my town which is awesome! That will be on Thursday. And I get to go home and sleep after work tonight/this morning. I just want it to be Friday already so I can have some fun and not have to worry about school and working, etc. for awhile. If this term could just be over already that would be nice too. Or if it could be summer, that would be even better! Happy Valentine's Day everyone! I've got less than four hours left! Vamanos.

Happy Birthday to Me!
Song of the Day:
Loving You Tonight by Andrew Allen
I just bought this song yesterday, and I already love it! It definitely made me want to listen to it over and over again so that I could memorize the lyrics, so when singing the song out loud, I'd know what I'd be singing and wouldn't sound like a dork. it's very upbeat, like something Eric Hutchinson or Jason Mraz would sing.
Quote of the Day:
"It takes courage to grow up and turn out to be who you really are." -E. E. Cummings
This is saying a lot about a person, because a majority of people probably don't grow up being who they wanted to be, or ended up doing what they wanted to do, or doing something with their lives. It takes so much effort to be unique, and yourself, that we've created these breeds of people who care so much of what others think, that they don't get to find out who they are.
Most Interesting People of the Day:
My mentor class for my freshman inquiry class. Today, was probably the best day that I've had all term so far. And it was because of mentor session. All we did in class was laugh tonight! I love it when that happens! When you can get with a group of people and know them enough to feel comfortable cracking jokes, making fun of one another, and just being our weird selves. It was a breathe of fresh air from the norm.
So, I didn't get to write on Monday. I have no idea where the time flew that night, but I just didn't seem to get to it. Midterms week was hell, and so far this week is turning out much better. I dropped my hip hop class. it was my fault, really, it was. I should have known not to sign up for it with my prior record of dancing fails. So, I paid for it, and am now officially giving it up. I feel that I could get a lot more out of an extra hours sleep instead of embarrassing myself trying to perform hip hop. On another note, I have work in the morning...oh joy. And then Friday is my birthday! Yeah, 19, big whoop. I have school and then work then too. And work again on Saturday, and then have a soccer game. I all of a sudden am super busy again, I'm just happy I don't have to worry about 10 million different tests and papers at the same time. Well, I have nothing to do tonight, so surfing the internet it is. Surfin...surfin the USA...beach boys for the win. Seven more hours to go...and so the count down begins.

Is This Term Over Yet?
Song of the Day:
Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.) by Katy Perry
This song is hilarious! It seems like something I would do. I love Katy Perry as well, she's such a fun and unique person, she just exudes confidence in her music. You can really tell that she loves what she's doing, and I love what she's doing to. Otherwise if she wasn't, I wouldn't have a song to play on my Friday nights.
Quote of the Day:
"A fucking triple Z!" - Amanda Dostert
This was one of the usual conversations that my good friend Amanda and I have, and this time it was about boob sizes, of course. I told her I'd post it, and here I am, posting it. Gotta love those hilarious inside jokes.
Most Interesting Person of the Day:
The religious people that felt the need to preach to me.
So, I was reading a book, listening to music, just hanging out. And along comes these two people, asking for a moment of my time. I had no idea what they wanted, so I figured I'd be nice and give them a moment of my time. Yeah...I should have gotten out while I still had the chance. They start asking me if i knowing about our Heavenly Father Jesus Christ, and I say yes, I'm a Christian, have read the bible, etc. They ask if I know of the Mother God, I say no, because I couldn't understood what they asked me. I should have said yes or something, because all of a sudden one of them whips out a bible, starts explain eternal life to me, asking me to read passages for them...I admit, it was interesting, but this was my time to relax before work. And here are two people telling me when they preach, asking me to join the group. So, I ended up taking one of their numbers so that I can contact them for more information. Which i don't think I'll be doing...
Yesterday was one of the worst days I've had in a loooong time. I'm over it now though, hoping that I can survive this night, get some good sleep in, go to my other job in the morning, sleep some more, hang out with a couple friends, study for midterms, then sleep once again. It seems that I sleep a lot...maybe it's because I never get enough sleep anymore. Anyways, I can't wait till midterms are over this week! It will be so nice, and definitely less stressful. On another note, I think I found a new favorite drink! It's the mighty mango drink in the Naked brand. It's like drinking a blended up mango! And I love mango, so this is awesome! Well, I've still got homework to do, so I gotta get going! Still 5 or so hours left...

Adios Muchachos
Song of the Day:
I Wish by The Secret Handshake
It took me about two times listening to this song before I had it memorized. It's so catchy! The punk goes crunk album is great, and I love how he re-did it. I definitely recommend listen to any of The Secret Handshake's stuff. Especially if you're into alternative with some cool lyrics.
Quote of the Day:
"Don't wait. The time will never be just right." -Napoleon Hill
This is really something I should live by. It seems like I try to put everything off, and that only causes more chaos. This seemed like a good quote for the day because I've had to take more action in my life than usual. I know that if something needs to get done, then it needs to get done, and right away.
Most Interesting Person of the Day:
Scott in my tennis class.
Hey dude, you're a cool guy...but you're just plain awkward! You're always in your own little world, and you catch me off guard ll the time by asking me random questions. it weirds me out. You're nice, and harmless, I can tell that about you from the way you've talked with me. But you have to do something different. Either take some NoDoze, or some more sleep. Something, because you're always really out there, and it's very odd.
So, it's midterms week. Someone shoot me, please! I have two tests at the end of the week, back to back, one huge paper, and an assignment that requires me to make a brain. What more can a girl ask for? Oh, yeah, zero time to sleep. Perfect. Apparently, my boss at my other jobs doesn't think I've been trained enough, so she's scheduled me to work on Tuesday and Thursday...at 10am to 2pm! That gives me about 2 hours to sleep in my car. And then tomorrow I have a meeting back on campus at 5pm. It takes me about 45 minutes to get back on campus from my other job. I'm going to have a total of 2 hours (if I'm lucky) of sleep all day long. So, yes, I already know this is going to be a long week for me. Especially since I have 6 more hours left working here...

Can't Touch This!
Song of the Day:
Pirate Song by Alestorm
I'm not a huge heavy metal person, but this band rocks! It's seriously metal pirate music. My friend told me about it, and it's hilarious. If you're in for some odd music, and like pirates, I definitely recommended it.
Quote of the Day:
"Denial ain't just a river in Egypt." -Mark Twain
I've always loved this quote. I think it really embodies Mark Twain's humor. It's like he's speaking out to the world in this quote, calling out all those hypocrites. It's so great, because it's completely true.
Most Interesting People of the Day:
Those guys sitting next to me in the computer lab.
Yes, I can hear you talking about baseball, and some other "manly" things, but really? Did you have to call that one girl an ass? I believe the correct terminology for a girl would be "bitch". I have no idea, but that kind of bothered me, at least make the insult in correct gender context. That's all I have to say about that!
This is the first night that I've had to use caffeine/ energy drinks to keep me awake. I can feel that it's already going to be a long night here in the lab. it's been a long day, that's for sure. Getting up early didn't help too much either. i hate waking up earlier than I have to, even if it is only an hour. I also hate having to commute! School and work is getting kind of overwhelming at this point in time. Midterms are next week, and I'm still looking for another job to replace my other one. Everyone in my family is getting sick, and having to live in close quarters with a bunch of sick people is kind of unnerving when I can't afford to get sick. I've got my handy dandy redbull with me right now, though, and this blog. I'm staying awake and living the dream!

Time Keeps on Ticking into the Future
Song of the Day:
Sail by AWOLNATION
This is a new alternative band that I've recently discovered. Their music has a techno, sort of rougher feel to it. But this song is actually quite different that what I'm used to, and it's rather refreshing to hear something new.
Quote of the Day:
"Time is money." -Benjamin Franklin
Isn't that America's opinion today? That essentially wasting your time, is wasting your money? I'm not quite sure about that. Because isn't your life more important than money? I would think so! There are probably many cases in many jobs where wasting time is wasting money. But in the whole aspect of day to day life, I don't it is that way.
Most Interesting Person of the Day:
The kid that I gave $2 for his bus fare and wanted to give me a knife in exchange.
I appreciated the offer, but I'm not in the need of a knife anytime soon. I was happy to give you the money, but there was no reason for you to give me anything in return. i simply saw that you needed the money, you seemed honest about your intentions, and I had the money. Nope, didn't need to be offered a knife.
It seems that all of my professors have decided to teach me the same thing...in every one of my classes. There's only so many times you can learn mean, median, and mode before you want to question your sanity. And I seriously have no idea what I was thinking signing up for hip hop...bad idea! I am not a dancer. But tennis? Yes, that was a good decision. It's been a long day, and I can already tell that this week is going to go by fast. Don't you hate it when you have to plan your weeks, a week or even two in advance? I know I do. It's so much to remember! Well, I've got about six hours left until I can leave this place!
